How Our Calculator Works
This calculator uses the exact HMRC rates for the 2026/27 tax year. Employer NI is calculated at 15% above the £5,000 secondary threshold. The apprenticeship levy is 0.5% of the assignment rate. Income tax uses the standard personal allowance of £12,570, basic rate (20%) up to £50,270, and higher rate (40%) up to £125,140.
